August in the high Kootenay Alpine brings a spectacular experience of thousands of alpine flowers. Only for a short time, do these miraculous flowers open in full bloom. I created a series of rings that remind me of this particular experience.
This glass ring was made in my home studio. It is handcrafted using one of the most ancient artforms of fusing glass. Several layers of glass were melted in a kiln multiple of times (over 12-14 hours), then carefully annealed to create this beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry. It is secured onto a silver-plated ring base that adjustable to most rings sizes.
Handcrafted glass such as this will bring lightness, joy and grace to those who wear them and enjoyment to the world around them.
